Most of Free Source Library can be read without creating an account. The site still receives limited technical information needed to deliver pages, protect the service, understand performance, display advertising, and process messages readers choose to send.

Location and live weather
The homepage estimates local weather automatically from the time zone reported by your device. The site converts that time zone to a representative city and requests a forecast from Open-Meteo without asking for precise location permission. You may optionally select “Improve accuracy”; only then does the browser ask for location, coordinates are rounded and sent to Open-Meteo for that request, and Free Source Library does not store them.
Embedded market data
The homepage loads a market ticker supplied by TradingView. The widget does not set cookies, but TradingView receives the page URL, widget type, displayed market symbol, and the visitor’s IP address in order to deliver and protect the service. Selecting an instrument can open TradingView in a new tab. Quotes may be real-time, delayed, or end-of-day depending on the market and are provided for general information, not financial advice.
Cookies and local storage
Essential storage supports your privacy choice, theme preference, security, and basic operation. Optional Matomo and Google Analytics measurement depends on your choice. Advertising may appear only inside articles and is not controlled by the tracking panel; advertising storage, user-data, and personalization signals remain denied. See the Cookie Policy.
Service providers
Information can be processed by providers that support hosting, content delivery, security, WordPress, advertising, analytics if enabled, email delivery, and public data features. Examples can include Cloudflare and Google services. Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy practices, and data may be processed in more than one country.
How long information is kept
Technical logs and service data are retained according to operational, security, and provider needs. Editorial submissions are kept while needed to investigate the message, document the decision, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations, then reviewed for deletion or anonymization when no longer required. Backups may persist for a limited recovery period.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures such as HTTPS, access controls, security services, rate limiting, restricted submission records, and software maintenance. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Please do not submit passwords, payment details, medical records, identity documents, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Your choices and rights
You can reject optional measurement and tracking through the consent panel, reopen “Privacy choices” from the footer, decline the optional precise-weather location request, and use browser controls to clear local storage. Depending on where you live, law may also provide rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing. Use the contact form and select a clear privacy-related subject.
Children
The publication is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly request personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, send a privacy request with enough detail for us to locate the record.
Changes to this policy
We update this page when services, practices, or legal requirements change. The review date at the top identifies the current published version. A material change may also be highlighted through the site where appropriate.
