TERMS OF USE

Terms of Use

The ground rules for using, linking to, quoting, and interacting with Free Source Library.

Reviewed October 20263 min readPlain English

These terms set the ground rules for using Free Source Library. By accessing the site, you agree to use it lawfully and in a way that does not damage the service, misrepresent the publication, or interfere with other readers.

Access to the publication

Public pages are generally available without an account or paid subscription. Access may be limited temporarily for maintenance, security, legal compliance, technical failure, abuse prevention, or changes to the service. We do not guarantee that every page will remain available forever or that every feature will work on every device.

Acceptable use

You may browse, link to, share page URLs, and make limited quotations where permitted by law. You may not:

  • Attack, probe, overload, bypass, or disrupt the site or its security controls.
  • Use automated access at a rate that harms service availability or ignores published crawler rules.
  • Systematically copy, republish, sell, or build a substitute database from site content without permission or another lawful basis.
  • Remove attribution, impersonate the publication, or imply endorsement that has not been given.
  • Submit unlawful, deceptive, abusive, malicious, or privacy-invasive material through forms.

Copyright, quotation, and linking

Unless a page states otherwise, original editorial text, arrangement, and design are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. A short quotation with clear attribution and a link is different from republishing the work. Rights in third-party images, quotations, datasets, trademarks, and linked material remain with their respective owners.

Reader submissions

Contact and reporting forms are for genuine publication-related messages. You retain rights in original material you submit. You grant the publication permission to review, store, reproduce internally, and use the submission as reasonably necessary to investigate and respond. Do not send confidential material you are not authorized to disclose.

No professional relationship

Reading or contacting the site does not create a doctor–patient, lawyer–client, adviser–client, fiduciary, employment, or other professional relationship. General articles are not personalized professional advice. See the Disclaimer.

External services and links

The site can link to or use services operated by others, including hosting, delivery, weather, advertising, and knowledge APIs. Their availability, content, security, and privacy practices are not controlled by Free Source Library. A link is not necessarily an endorsement.

Advertising

Advertising may appear and can be selected automatically. The commercial relationship, if any, does not make an advertiser responsible for editorial content or make the publication responsible for the advertiser’s offer. Review our Advertising & Editorial Independence policy.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We work to improve accuracy and reliability but do not promise that every statement is complete, current, error-free, or suitable for a particular decision.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Free Source Library is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar loss arising from use of—or inability to use—the site, reliance on general information, external services, or unauthorized interference. Rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

Changes and severability

These terms may change as the publication, services, or law develops. The version displayed at the time of use applies. If one provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law.

Questions

Use Contact the Editorial Desk with a clear subject. Legal notices should identify the sender, the right asserted, the specific URL, the requested action, and a reliable method of reply.
